1.Acceptance of these terms

These terms of use apply to the website schoolcanvas.com and its pages (the "website"), run by Infogem Web Solutions Pvt Ltd, Plot No. 21, 5th Cross Street, Kumaran Kudil, Okkiyam Thoraipakkam, Chennai – 600097 ("Schoolcanvas", "we", "us").

By using the website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2.Who may use the website

The school pages of this website are meant for school owners, trustees, principals, administrators, teachers and other adults who are considering or using Schoolcanvas for a school. You may use the website if you can form a binding contract under Indian law. If you submit a form on behalf of a school, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.

Parents and students who use Schoolcanvas through their school should contact their school about their account, logins, fees and marks.

3.Information on the website

We work to keep the website accurate and up to date, but it gives general information about Schoolcanvas, Assist and related topics. In particular:

• features, modules, integrations and screens can change as we develop the product, and some may depend on the plan, configuration or third-party services a school chooses;
• product screens and figures shown in mock-ups (for example, those of "Green Valley Public School") are illustrations, not real school data;
• guides and articles about laws, boards and regulations, including the DPDP Act, are general explanations and not legal advice. Please take advice from your own counsel.

What a school receives is set out in its customer agreement and the order or proposal it accepts.

4.Demos and free trials

Schools can request a free demo and a 1-month free trial of the Schoolcanvas ERP and Assist. Demos and trials are offered at our discretion and are subject to agreement with us, including any trial terms we share with you. We may decline or end a trial, for example if it is used for purposes other than evaluating Schoolcanvas.

During a trial, please use sample data or only the data you need to evaluate the product. Any school data entered during a trial is handled as described in our Privacy policy.

5.Accounts and the school platform

The Schoolcanvas school platform (including app.schoolcanvas.com and the Schoolcanvas mobile apps) and Assist are provided to schools under a separate customer agreement and Data Processing Agreement. Those agreements, not these terms, govern accounts, fees, service levels, data processing and support. If there is a conflict, the school's agreement prevails.

School users receive their logins from their school. Please keep your login details private and do not share accounts.

6.Acceptable use

When you use the website, you agree not to:

• break any law, or use the website to harm, harass or mislead anyone;
• submit false information, or someone else's personal data without the right to do so;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems or any school's data, or test their security without our written permission;
• introduce viruses or other harmful code, or overload or disrupt the website;
• scrape, copy or harvest content or contact details by automated means, except for normal search-engine indexing;
• copy, frame or present the website or our content as your own.

We may restrict or block access to the website for anyone who breaks these rules.

7.Intellectual property

The website and its content, including text, product screens, graphics, illustrations and software, belong to Infogem Web Solutions Pvt Ltd or its licensors and are protected by law. The names and logos Schoolcanvas and Assist, and related names and logos, are our trade marks.

You may view and print pages for your own information or for your school's evaluation of Schoolcanvas. You may not otherwise copy, change, distribute or use our content or trade marks without our written permission. Third-party photographs, school names and logos shown on the website remain the property of their owners.

8.Links to other websites

The website may link to other websites and services, such as app stores, payment gateways, government portals or social media. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability. Using them is subject to their own terms.

9.Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We provide the website "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that the information on it is complete for your purposes.

To the extent the law allows, Schoolcanvas is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from your use of the website or your reliance on information on it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law. Our responsibilities to schools that use the platform are set out in their customer agreement.

10.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the website after a change, the updated terms apply.

11.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the website. Before going to court, please write to us so that we can try to resolve the matter.
